Turfcare was thrilled to receive the contract for ongoing turf management at Deakin University’s Elite Sporting Complex in Waurn Ponds.

This three-year maintenance program includes looking after the entire sports precinct, including multiple sport fields accommodating cricket, baseball, a full athletics centre and synthetic soccer pitch. The main oval is used for the Geelong Cats AFL team pre-match training, among many other local user groups.

We also provide monthly reports and onsite meetings with the customer.

Some of the turf management tasks the Turfcare team regularly undertake include:

• cylinder and outfront mowing
• line marking
• garden bed maintenance and mulching
• weed spraying for insects
• ongoing maintenance of the athletics track and baseball field

We also complete seasonal renovation and maintenance of the grounds, including aerovating, scarifying, warm season to cool season conversions and oversowing.
